Omen Eye: Fashion full circle

Got a message yesterday that one of my vintage pieces on etsy (shown below) was featured in this person's blog called "Omen eye". So I checked it out, and it's a very cool conceptual blog about finding high price current fashion trends for less in thrift stores and online thrift shops - something I'm all about.

You'll see posts with photos like this one of Erin Wasson(love it!) with designer jewelry on, and next to it, links to etsy options that are similar  or practically identical yet vintage and much more affordable. Kudos Omen eye, I like your thinking.

HOly Sweater (and a vest)

I'm so excited for my latest two purchases, this holy sweater(above) and black vest(below) by Olive Olivia.
Let me start from the beginning> I think i saw an Alexander Wang sweater in a melrose boutique about three years ago, tried it on, loved it to death, but alas, the price was not in my range.
So more recently, I discovered that BCBG makes a sweater reminiscent of the Wang one as my friend (who works at BCBG) was wearing it at our Project Runway get together. It's an amazing loose knit salt-n-pepper grey sweater that I'm on a mission to get. But in the mean time, I came across this gem of a sweater by Olive Olivia @ Dame - a cute women's boutique in Santa Monica - and yippie, it had much more my kinda price tag.
So this sweater, i just lurv it. Can I wear this outfit everyday? Maybe I will. And the vest, pretty essencial, I'm guessing I'm going to try to add it to every outfit I put on in the next few months, cuz that's what I do when I like something.

Pink Roses

Haunted house attire....
1)leather jacket-h&m 2)shirt/dress-vintage that i got hemmed and altered(bye bye poofy sleeves and poofy tiered layers at the bottom ;) 3)shorts-american apparel 4)boots-justin

I don't know if I'll keep this pink roses shirt, my alterations lady cut it a bit short, so it's really not a dress anymore, (tear) and too long to be a tank....so it may be going on my etsy for sale soon, for someone who is maybe shorter or can figure out a cute way to make it work. I was thinking of trying a black petticoat under it....
